I have an old Mac Mini with a DVI Port that came with a DVI-to VGA adaptor. Tonight my monitor went down. Will any new monitor work with this? Can I use an adaptor? If so what adaptor do I need?

You can use any DVI monitor directlly to the DVI port or any VGA monitor with the current adapter that you have. An HDMI monitor could work with a DVI to HDMI adapter in a pinch, but HDMI tends to be more temperamental.
